Basket of Care Distributions in Jammu & Kashmir

As part of our ongoing commitment to support vulnerable families in Jammu & Kashmir, Mother Helpage UK extended its Basket of Care initiative in September 2025, reaching communities in both Handwara (Kupwara District) and Srinagar District.

Through this initiative, families and women who have lost their breadwinners received dry ration and hygiene kits, offering not only immediate relief but also a reminder that they are not alone in their struggles.

Basket of Care – Handwara

On 3rd September 2025, Mother Helpage UK extended its heartfelt support to 62 women in Handwara, Kupwara District. The distribution took place at the Community Hall, Qaziabad, Handwara.

These women, left without their breadwinners, continue to face immense challenges in providing for their families. The distribution was not just about food—it was about offering relief, dignity, and solidarity, easing the mothers’ daily worries and reassuring them that they are supported.

At the close of the event, the women expressed deep gratitude to both the donors and Mother Helpage for standing beside them in their time of need.

Basket of Care – Srinagar

On 5th September 2025, Mother Helpage UK reached out to 38 families in Raj Bagh, Srinagar District through the Basket of Care initiative.

Comprising mostly mothers and daughters, these families have been left without their breadwinners and face the ongoing challenge of meeting daily needs. Each ration and hygiene kit was more than just food—it carried a message of solidarity and care, offering a brief sense of security amidst uncertainty.

Mother Helpage remains committed to walking alongside vulnerable families, ensuring that compassion and dignity guide every effort.
