Easing the burden
Hasina Khatun, a 38-year-old widow from the same region, lost her husband three years ago and now single-handedly raises her two children and elderly mother. Without stable income, the month of Ramadan had always been a difficult time.
Through our Ramadan Program, we provided her with a food pack that sustained her family throughout the holy month. “This support allowed us to fast with peace and without worry,” she shared. “For once, I didn’t have to skip meals to feed my children.”
